Prattville, AL – December 13, 2024 – Prattville High School Administration announces that the Autauga County Board of Education has officially approved Bobby Carr as the new Head Football Coach at Prattville High School.
“This is an exciting day for Prattville High School,” said PHS Principal Dr. Daniel Farris. “Throughout this coaching search, we aimed to identify a championship-caliber coach. Partnering with a search committee, we are proud to bring Coach Bobby Carr to Prattville High School. We are confident he will elevate our program to the next level.”
Coach Carr joins Prattville after a successful tenure at Carver High School, where he led the Wolverines to a 6-3 record this past season. Over the course of his 27-year career, Coach Carr has achieved unparalleled success, including 10 State Championships as a Head Football Coach between stints at Edgewood Academy and Autauga Academy. His career record stands at an impressive 265-65, with a winning percentage of 80.3%.

A six-time Montgomery Advertiser Coach of the Year, Coach Carr holds the state record for 71 consecutive victories at Edgewood Academy—a streak that extended to 96 wins in a row after his move to Autauga Academy. In recognition of his achievements, he was inducted into the National Private School Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 2018.
With five State Championships in the school’s history, Prattville High School proudly welcomes Coach Bobby Carr to build upon this program’s rich tradition of success and excellence.
