Over 100 people gathered last night to welcome PCA’s new head football coach, Shane Moye, along with his assistants, Chad Michael and Matt Mims, and their families. Coach Moye joins PCA from Lowndes Academy, bringing over 13 years of experience and a proven track record of success.

“Coach Moye is known for his energy and his dedication to developing players physically, mentally, and spiritually,” said Tara Osborne, PCA Athletic Director. “He strives to help his students reach their full potential as student-athletes and young men, preparing them to be compassionate and exceptional leaders both on and off the field.”

Football players and interested students filled the bleachers, listening attentively as Coach Moye shared his vision for the program, spanning from youth leagues to varsity. His message was clear: “I’m a competitor, and I want to win right now,” he stated. Coach Moye expressed his excitement about the opportunity to strengthen PCA’s football program and build a reputation for excellence.

He emphasized where winning begins—the weight room. He plans to implement a comprehensive strength and conditioning program to help players become stronger and faster while also building mental toughness, improving time management, and reducing the risk of injuries. Additionally, the team will participate in summer programs such as two-a-day and seven-on-seven camps.

This is an exciting chapter for PCA as Coach Moye brings high expectations and a detailed plan for success. His approach extends beyond the current players; he also prioritizes fostering relationships with younger athletes in the youth leagues. Understanding the value of starting early, Coach Moye is committed to building excitement for PCA football at all levels, ensuring a strong foundation for the program’s future.
