From Prattville High School Athletics

Autauga County Schools

Prattville, AL– Coach Brian Pittman announced his resignation as the Head Flag Football Coach of Prattville High School today. The school administration will now begin the process of
identifying a new leader for the team.

Pittman reached out to the EAN with the following statement:

“I have really enjoyed my time as Head Coach and I am very proud of where me and my staff and the players took the program in two short years. I am stepping away to be with my family more in the fall. I have a daughter that is 13 and plays travel softball and middle school basketball and want to make sure that being at her games and enjoying that time with her and family is my priority. Time to put my family first instead of everything else.

“I am still going to be the softball coach, that is not changing at all, excited to get the season going. So, any rumors on that I am leaving are false. I am still teaching and coaching at Prattville and love the school and what I do. Will always be a huge fan of Flag Football and wish that program nothing but the best.”
PHS administration appreciates the dedication and leadership provided by Coach Pittman over the past 2 seasons. His tenure included both a semifinal and quarterfinal appearance, as well as achieving a national ranking for the first time in the program’s history this fall. The search for a new head coach will begin immediately, with the goal of finding a candidate who can build upon the tradition of success established during our program’s short history.

Prattville High School is committed to providing its athletes with an exceptional education and athletic experience, and the search for the next flag football coach will focus on finding a leader who shares these values.
