Economic development agreements passed by both Autauga County Commission and Prattville City Council

The Autauga County Commission and the Prattville City Council both passed two separate resolutions on their respective agenda’s amending an economic development agreement between the City of Prattville, Autauga County and two different projects that are ongoing.

An economic development agreement with the City of Prattville, Autauga County, the Water Works Board of the City of Prattville and James Hardie Building Products Inc. was passed unanimously at the Prattville City Council and the Autauga County Commission.

The resolution is in support of Project Mayfield, which has been amended according to the resolution read in at Prattville City Council.

According to the resolution read in at the Prattville City Council, this project is an incentive package for all parties involved and James Hardie has requested the incentives for an additional two years.

The resolution states that the City, County and Water Works Board agree that the additional time frame will be mutually beneficial to all parties.

The second economic development resolution is also an agreement with the City of Prattville, Autauga County and the Prattville Water Works Board as well as Laney Properties LTD and Long- Lewis of the River Region, Inc. Properties.

This agreement is in support of Project FT and was also passed unanimously at the Prattville City Council and the Autauga County Commission.

According to the resolution read in at the Prattville City Council, Long-Lewis of the River Region has requested an extension of incentives for five years. Also in the City Council’s resolution, the resolution states that the City of Prattville and Autauga County both agree that the additional time frame will be mutually beneficial to both parties. 

On the agenda for the Autauga County Commission, no additional information was given regarding either resolution.
