AirNow Heating and Air celebrated their ribbon-cutting ceremony today at their Main Street location in Millbrook, marking a renewed commitment to the local community. The event, organized in partnership with the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, brought together community members, chamber board and ambassador members, and local leaders. Refreshments of donuts and bagels were served, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.

Millbrook City Council member Michael Gay highlighted the significance of local businesses like AirNow in the city’s efforts to revitalize downtown. “The city is making investments into a new downtown, and it takes local businesses like AirNow to help make that happen,” Gay stated during the event.

The ribbon-cutting also included a special announcement from Chamber CEO and President Brenda Dennis, who named Stephanie Owens of Alabama One Credit Union as the Chamber’s Ambassador of the Quarter.

AirNow has been in business for more than 30 years, was acquired in 2022 by Southern HVAC Corporation. The company has undergone changes under new leadership, with General Manager Randy Raines taking the helm a year ago. Raines emphasized a renewed focus on community connection, saying, “We have gotten away from the hometown feel but want to get back there and get involved with the community.”

The event highlighted the importance of collaboration between local businesses and community initiatives, with AirNow pledging to play an active role in Millbrook’s growth and development.
