Autauga County, AL – As the Alabama Crimson Tide gear up to take on their historic rivals, the Auburn Tigers, the Autauga County Bama fans are joining the excitement in a special way. This year, they’re hosting a local food drive to support the “Beat Auburn Beat Hunger” campaign, bringing the spirit of competition off the field and into the community.

The food drive is happening now through November 20, and will benefit both the Autauga Interfaith Care Center and the Autaugaville Community Food Pantry, ensuring that the donations stay local and make a direct impact on families in need. Community members are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items and monetary donations at designated collection points throughout Autauga County – Trustmark Bank in downtown Prattville and AmeriFirst Bank on Hwy 14 in Prattville.

“We’re excited to support such an important cause,” said Tatum Northington, President of the Autauga County Bama Fans. “This friendly competition allows us to rally as a community, not just to support our team but to fight hunger together. 1 in 7 Alabamaians, and 1 in 5 Alabama children, experience food insecurity; this is a way we can make a difference in the community”

In the weeks leading up to the Iron Bowl, fans can show their Crimson Tide pride by contributing to the food drive and helping their county make a difference. Every can of food collected and every dollar donated brings the community one step closer to victory—not just over Auburn, but over hunger in Autauga County.
