The Montgomery Police Department is investigating homicide on October 26, 2024, homicide and is requesting the public’s help. Police ask anyone with details or information to please come forward.
Investigators say on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at about 6:40 p.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 1000 block of Mill Street in reference to a subject shot. Upon arrival, an adult male who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound was located and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators say the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The victim was identified as Marquaries Williams, 34, of Montgomery, Alabama.
The circumstances surrounding this violent fatal shooting remain under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time. Investigators and family ask anyone who may have seen or know something to come forward.
