The Tri-State Distributors hosted a grand re-opening Tuesday morning with vendors, door prizes, food and other festivities to commemorate the event.
The Georgia based corporation now has 11 locations servicing Georgia, Alabama, Florida and the southeast and has quickly expanded, confirmed Tri-State Distributors Wetumpka branch manager, Mark Shain.
The Tri-State Distributors in the River Region was originally located in Montgomery, however in 2024 Tri-state Distributors has relocated to Wetumpka, on Elmore Road.
“We are a distribution center. We distribute to resellers. We’re not open to the public, but the distribution centers get their products from us. Primarily, we are a distributor of mobile home parts and products. Not mobile homes, but everything you need for a mobile home we have right here,” Tri-State Distributors Wetumpka branch manager, Mark Shain said.
While the distribution center is not open to the public, the products they sell to various local stores are the products that the public and community see and even use every day, even if it’s outside of a mobile home.
“We actually have some really high -end outdoor patio, outdoor kitchens, outdoor grills, your gas logs and other aspects for inside your home. Then also air conditioning, HVAC. Everything that you would need. I mean, we sell the units themselves, but then everything that you would need to hook up that unit, from the ductwork, to all the electrical and so on and so forth is just some of the products we distribute locally,” Shain said.
According to the Tri- State Distributors website, the Georgia Corporation was established in 1983, and while they have grown over the years, their mission is still to provide modern facilities and technology while maintaining traditional values of fair and dependable service to their customers.
“We wanted to let people know where we are. We have a lot of our customers out here that own the independent stores that we deliver to. We have 90,000 square feet here. We have a showroom that they can come in and see our products. It’s very different from facility than what we had in Montgomery,” Shain said.
Tri-State Distributors is one of the leading suppliers for LP Gas, HVAC and Manufactured Housing industries in the southeast. Also, according to their website, the sales team within Tri-State Distributors has over 100 years of combined experience and knowledge with the products they market.
“We wanted to host this event to give our chance to give our customers a chance to see our new facility, which we’re very proud of. But this is also a chance for us to beat our chests a little bit and say here we are and come and come and see us,” Shain said.
In attendance was Elmore County Commissioner Henry Hines and Chairman Bart Mercer, Executive Director of Elmore County Economic Development Authority Lisa Van Wagner, Tourism Manager for the City of Wetumpka Andrew Stieb, Main Street Wetumpka Executive Director Haley Greene, Wetumpka Fire Marshal Ashely Payton, Director of Elmore County Technical Center Emilie Johnson, as well as Tri-State Distributors employees and members of the community.
