So many wonderful events are coming to our area over the next few months. Here is an easy guide to keep up with them and make plans! We will continually update this list. If you know of an event not listed here, please send information to Sarah Stephens at [email protected]
OCTOBER –
Now through October 18 – Eclectic Elementary School is collecting non-perishable items as well as the following to help with Hurricane Helene relief: Diapers, baby wipes, baby food, first aid items, dog/cat food, personal hygiene items, plastic grocery bags, Ziploc bags, trash bags, batteries (AA, AAA) and soap. Donations will be collected in a designated box in the lobby of the school.
October 10 – National Night Out is Happening Tonight in Prattville. Come out and meet the Prattville Police Department, Prattville Fire Department, and many other public safety agencies, churches, local organizations, and community members. Enjoy an evening of fellowship, food vendors, and live demonstrations from our participants! The best part? It’s FREE! 6-8 p.m. Location: Premiere Place Parking lot near Michael’s.
Sip Shop and Stroll downtown Wetumpka during the Broomsticks and Brews event from 5-10 p.m.
Oct. 12 –
Come to the Third Annual Trunk or Treat beginning at 5 p.m. at 114 Medical Center Drive in Prattville. This event is hosted by Great Leaps Learning Center and The Little House of Wellness.
The Prattville Farmers will have their Fall Market from 8 a.m. to Noon at The Grove on Doster Road. Shop locally sourced produce, homemade goods, meat and more. Address is 332 Doster Road in Prattville.
The Mehearg Farms Fall Market will be at 4:30 p.m. located at 740 Flatwood Road in Wetumpka. Buy a pumpkin, shop local vendors and eat good food!
Oct. 17 –
Calling all Pumpkin Picassos! Unleash your creativity at the FREE Pumpkin Painting activity on Thursday, Oct. 17. Join the fun at the Prattville Creative Arts Center located at 342 Chestnut Street from 3 to 6 p.m.. This is a come and go painting, while supplies last. The masterpieces will line the streets during the annual Parade of Pumpkins. Supplies donated by Prattauga Art Guild.
Interactive Halloween Season Ghost Hunt at the Historic Prattaugan Museum of Prattville! This event is hosted by Southern Ghost Girls Tours and Paranormal Investigations. Tickets are $55. Oct 18-31st –
Head to historic downtown Prattville for the annual Parade of Pumpkins event! Stroll through decorative pumpkins, enjoy the glow trail, food trucks and so much more.
Oct. 19 –
The Prattville Farm Swap will be held on the third Saturday of each month. The event is held every second Tuesday of the month in the field just west of Piggly Wiggly at 1926 US 31 in Prattville. Homemade items, breads, baked good, clothing, vegetables, farm animals and much more.
The St. Michael’s AngelFest will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Michael and All Angel’s Episcopal Church in Millbrook. You’ll be able to visit some of your favorite vendors and some special new vendors. Come buy from local artisans and bid on special gift items at the Silent Auction. Bring your little ones to enjoy the Kids’ Carnival. Select some delectable homemade goods from our Bake Sale, pick up your pre-ordered Boston Butts (smoked with care by our Butt masters), and don’t forget some of our famous boiled peanuts.
Oct. 19 – Lanark/Alabama Nature Center will hold its FREE 9th annual Halloween Carnival! This event is sponsored by Realty Connection and will be held at the Alabama Nature Center. Join for some amazing fun: games, prizes, homemade food, blow up slide, firetruck, balloon twister, face glittering, popcorn, hotdogs, cotton candy, snow cones. ALL FREE
Oct. 19-20 – The Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival will be held at 301 Hill Street in Wetumpka from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Held in historic downtown Wetumpka, the Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival is an annual one-day festival celebrating wildlife art as well as the natural beauty of Alabama. Art appreciators and outdoor enthusiasts alike gather together for this festival. We strive every year to pack this festival full of educational presentations, art exhibits and classes, vendors, food, children’s activities, and expert demonstrations.
Be sure to mark your calendars for a wonderful day celebrating our native wildlife and field sports through the arts!

Oct. 19 – Grandview YMCA Martial Arts Festival – Grandview YMCA. 10 a.m. Open to general public with $5 admission for ages 6 and up. There will be food, entertainment and amazing competition.
Oct. 20 –
Millbrook First Methodist Church will host a Fall Festival from 4-6 p.m. at 3350 Edgewood Road in Millbrook. Wear you non-scary costume and come join them. There will be a cakewalk, hamburgers, hot dogs, games and prizes. For more information visit www.MFUMC.org
The Autauga Creek Improvement Committee will host Paddles and Pumpkins from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning at 560 Allenville Road in Prattville! Paddle to the Mill Pond for some seasonal fun!
A Historical cemetery tour will be held by Cain’s Chapel and the Elmore County Historical Society at Cain’s Chapel Cemetery. Admission is $5 and tickets are available at the event. Church members will play the characters featured on the tour, giving information about their interesting lives.
Oct. 24 –
The Bulldog Bash will be held from 4-8 p.m. at Holtville High School. Enjoy food trucks, vendors, music and games like cornhole! This event is hosted by the Holtville High School PTO. Address is 10425 Holtville Road in Deatsville.
Oct. 25 – through Halloween – The Haunted Car Wash Tunnel hosted Joey’s Car Wash will be held at 541 Old Farm Lane North in Prattville from 6-9 p.m. The only Haunted Car Wash Tunnel in the area! 👻🫧Cost: purchase any car wash or membership
Oct. 25-26 – Holidays at The Barn in Eclectic will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Dec. 25 and 2 p.m. Oct. 26. Address is 690 Pleasant Hill Road in Eclectic. Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas all in one festive 2-day event!
Come to Teddy’s Bourbon Bar in downtown Prattville for an adult Halloween party beginning at 6 p.m. Address is 166 West Main Street in Prattville. Chris Eiland will be performing at 7:30 p.m. Come enjoy some Blood bags, fright flight and a late-night food menu.
Oct. 26
You are invited to the Prattville High School Spotlight Show Choir’s Second Annual Halloween SPOOKTACULAR! The event will be held at The Main on Prattville campus Oct. 26. Tickets are $25 per person.

Join the fun at the 15th Annual Millbrook Boo Festival on Saturday, October 26 from 10am – 2pm in the heart of Millbrook at Village Green Park. This family-friendly event is FREE and all are welcome to participate. There will be plenty of fall festivities to include Bike-R-Treat, Farmers Market, Pumpkin Patch, Costume Contest, Hayride, DJ, Food Trucks, Candy, Games & much more!
First Methodist Church of Wetumpka Fall Festival is from 5-7 p.m. There will be lots of candy, trunk or tret, games, food and family fun. No scary or death related costumes, please. The event will be on the front lawn of the Family Life Center 306 Tuskeena Street.
Oct. 27 –
Mulder Church will host its FREE Fall Festival at 3454 Firetower Road in Wetumpka from 4-6 p.m. Enjoy hayrides, hot dogs, inflatables, games, trunk-or-treat and more. Everything’s free! Please, no scary costumes.
Oct. 27 –
The Crossroads Community Church will host a Fall Festival from 4-6 p.m. and is is FREE. The address is Mt. Hebron Road in Elmore. Bring your friends and family to the FREE & FUN Fall Festival at Crossroads!
We’ll be outdoors and have hayrides, games, and FREE cotton candy and hot dogs. No scary costumes, please
Oct. 28 – The Coosa Candy Crawl will be held at the Wetumpka Sports Complex at 4 p.m. Get ready for a spooktacular time at the Coosa Candy Crawl in Wetumpka! Dress your kiddos in their favorite costumes and join us at The Wetumpka Sports Complex, located directly behind the home side of the stadium. The fun starts early with bounce houses and face painting beginning at 4:00 pm. Then, the Candy Crawl through table sponsors from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Don’t miss out on this sweet and festive event!
Oct. 30 –
Deatsville Baptist Church will host its Trunk or Treat event beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wear your costumes! The church is located at 184 Church Street in Deatsville.
The Fall Festival at Real Life Church of Millbrook will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 1834 I-65 Service Road E in Millbrook. Come celebrate the season with us at Real Life Church! We will have snacks and candy as well as a trunk or treat set up for the kids. There will be plenty of activities going on for any age child to participate.
The Harbor at Hickory Hill will host a Trunk or Treat beginning at 5:30 p.m. Address is 2102 Summit Parkway in Prattville. Their residents are excited to make treat bags and ghost lollipops for the kiddos again! You all blew us away with the incredible turn out last year, and we will be far more prepared this year! We plan to have a food truck on site as a dinner option. We can’t wait to see all of the costumes!
HALLOWEEN – Oct. 31 –
Goodship MBC and Lake Elam MBC will host their Fall Festival from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Village Green Park of Millbrook. East Memorial Baptist Church of Prattville will host a Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat from 5-7 p.m. Address is 1779 Fairview Avenue in Prattville. The time is 5-7 p.m. – Trunk or Treat: Enjoy a safe and delightful trick-or-treating experience with creatively decorated trunks filled with goodies!

NOVEMBER
Nov. 1-2 – The Brush Poppers Cowboy Church Pro Rodeo will be held at 46 Sanford Lane in Wetumpka. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Mutton Busting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for ages 5-12. Four and under are FREE. Tickets will be available at the gate each night.
Nov. 10- Fish Fry at American Legion Post 133 of Millbrook. 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. $10 a plate. Mission is to provide support programs for veterans!
DECEMBER
Dec. 10 – Cocoa and Characters is presented by the Way Off Broadway Theatre and the Prattville Cultural Arts, Parks and Recreation. Come have a cup of cocoa and meet some of your favorite holiday characters! And take a picture, too! Dec. 13 –
Prattville’s annual Christmas Concert showcases the vocal and musical talents of the Prattville Community Chorus and Pops Band. This year’s join concert will be held at Doster Memorial Community Center at 7 p.m. This is a FREE event for friends and families to enjoy.
