The West Elmore Lions Club hosted the Shana Faulkner Memorial Duck Race at Village Green Park Thursday, bringing some racing excitement to Mill Creek.
For the price of $10, participants watched their ducks being dropped into the creek by Lions Club members, and off they floated towards the finish line.
Winners of the Duck Race:

#45- Kathy Kelley Grandkids ($300)
#92- Grant Garner ($200)
“This was a great way to raise money for our local charities. I appreciate the support of the community in continuing this race in memory of Shana,” Lions Club member Art Faulkner told the EAN. “It was a very special thing that she helped start, she loved it, and she would be very tickled that it keeps continuing.”
This is their 3rd Annual Rubber Duck Race and the second in memory of Shana.

The proceeds from Thursday’s race will continue to offer future donations for the community.
President Collier is not only a Lions member, but also the director of the current play by the Millbrook Community Theater. It is called “Curious Savage” and the last chance to see the show is Sunday at 2 p.m.
All remaining shows are Sept. 20th, Saturday Sept. 21st, 7:30pm and
Sunday September 22nd at 2 p.m.
