County Commission Recognizes Extension Week

During the Commission Meeting on September 9, the Elmore County Commission approved a Proclamation recognizing the week of September 15 through 21 as Alabama Extension Week in Elmore County. Extension agents and specialists work year-round to support Alabama’s farmers and landowners in a a variety of ways.

The Elmore County Extension Office provides many opportunities for our residents. On Friday, October 1 from 4 PM to 6:30 PM at the City of Wetumpka’s Farmer’s Market, the office will host a Farm City Festival. This event is free to the public and will be fun for the entire family. There will be games, live music and live animals, door prizes, a photo booth, and a children’s costume contest set to begin at 5:30 PM. You are invited to come and join in the fun!
