“We love having community-centered events throughout the fall,” said Laura Creel Burt, ASF Foundation’s executive director. “The Pumpkin Run and then Dinklebells in December allow our team to reach out to the community and produce events that are fun for and welcoming to people of all ages. Last year’s event was amazing and had a great turnout. We hope to continue to grow the event each year.”
The 5K Pumpkin Run and Lots O’ Fun Run starts and finishes at Cloverdale Bottom Park (Cloverdale Road) in Montgomery’s historic Idlewild Community and will have fun and games for the whole family. Tentative events – along with the 5K and Fun Run – for the 2024 Pumpkin Run include a ring toss, a Smooch-a-Pooch Photo Booth, a bounce house and a pumpkin patch. For an additional donation, you get an opportunity to Pie The Pumpkin! There will be a finisher’s medal for all who cross the finish line and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for each age group.
There will also be awards for the best-costumed adult, child and dog. A map of the racecourse can be found at Pumpkin Run & Lots O’Fun Sign-up with this link https://runsignup.com/Race/AL/Montgomery/LetsHaveFunAtThePumpkinRunOld
