Good afternoon Elmore County this is Richard Dennis Superintendent of Elmore county public schools the second full week of school wrapped up today and now it’s time for Friday night lights. All four high schools will be in action tonight as the football season kicks off with all the activities involved. Elmore County High School will travel to the Dadeville. Holtville High School will host Trinity. Stanhope Elmore High School will host Marbury and Wetumpka High School will host Beauregard. It’s an exciting time of year as the volleyball teams, cheerleaders, dance teams, bands, and other school groups open up the fall season.
As you plan to support your local team, please make sure to check the high school’s website for guidelines for admissions and attendance requirements. Parents the PowerSchool parent portal should open for most schools on Monday, August 26th. We encourage you to monitor your child assignments and follow up with the teachers as necessary.
