Updates on Ivy Classical Academy from Head of School

Dear Ivy Classical Academy Parents,

The first day of school is nearly here! In preparation for that wonderful day, I ask that you read this email carefully and follow all directions in order to assist with a smooth start to our inaugural school year.

First, if you have not already done so, please download and sign up for the “PikMyKid” app on your phone. You MUST have the app downloaded and set up correctly before dismissal on Wednesday, 8/21.

More information will be going out next week about how to pay for lunches. Please monitor your email inboxes for that information!

We need volunteers to help us move our furniture into the building. We’ll have two move-in events and need up to 50 adult volunteers for each. The first is on Monday (8/19) at 4pm and the second move-in meetup will be on Tuesday (8/20) at 8am. If you or someone you know is able to volunteer for either event, please sign up here: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/volunteerevents/

On Wednesday (8/21), please plan to park and walk your child in to the building for their first day of school. You will be able to visit their classroom and drop off their school supplies at that time as well. If you are unable to drop off supplies on Wednesday morning, please reach out to your child’s teacher directly to setup a time to drop the supplies off on Tuesday. Unfortunately, only our volunteers will be able to visit classrooms on Tuesday. If you are dropping off supplies, you will have to meet the teacher outside.

If any of this timeline for the coming week changes, I will email you with more information as soon as possible. I am deeply appreciative of the patience and positivity throughout our new school community. Together, we are founding a new school that will soon be educating more than a thousand students each school year. We are building an amazing school that will have a tremendous positive affect on our community, our state, and our country. I am honored to be a part of it and to work with you and your families to offer a classical education to the children of Prattville and the surrounding area.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us via email at [email protected] or phone at 334-595-5580.

All the best,

Dr. Withun

Head of School
