From Autauga County Alabama
Some of our Autauga County Farms were highlighted during the Alabama Farmers Federation Annual Farm & Land Conference on Aug. 2. The yellow group stopped and visited our friends at Autauga Farming Co., Inc and Cleveland Land and Cattle Farm.
A multi-generational family farm, Autauga Farming Company operates cow-calf and row crop operations. During this stop, attendees viewed and discussed the three-breed rotation of Angus, Charolais , and Simmental, forage and hay operations, and the management of cow-calf herd.
Cleveland Land & Cattle is a cow-calf and backgrounding operation. Additionally, they develop replacement heifers for sale to producers. During this stop, they discussed cattle working facilities, preconditioning feeder cattle, by product feedstuffs, and the reproductive efficiency of beef cattle.
