Police Department
A huge thank you to the Alabama Securities Commission and First Presbyterian Church for this very valuable seminar on fraud prevention this week! All the speakers from the Commission, the Better Business Bureau, Autauga County DA CJ Robinson, and our own Inv. D. Hardy imparted valuable info to the attendees on current trends and what to do to prevent from being a possible victim of fraud in the future. If you were unable to attend, please keep an eye on the Alabama Securities Commission page, as well as ours, for future seminars on this topic.
On a related note, always be mindful when receiving random texts and emails claiming to be from a business, a bank or even political party fundraiser solicitations. Many of them have links they advise you can click on to continue the conversation, but many of those links will send you somewhere where they are actually looking to steal your personal and financial information. If you ever receive a text or email like this, DO NOT click the link but instead go to the website of the business or entity they claim to be directly. Verify everything before you provide ANY information over the Internet. If not, there’s a high probability the money is going overseas and chances of recovering it are near zero. Protect yourself and your finances!
As always, call us if you should need us.
