The Elmore County Commission recently approved the 2025 Rebuild Alabama County Transportation Plan that will make improvements including 27 road projects at a cost of $2.5 million.
“We have 15.61miles of road improvements that will be in the plan,” said Richie Beyer, County Chief Operating Officer. “Over the last six years you have been able to do 115.47 miles of roadwork. We wouldn’t have been able to do that before Rebuild. All of that is about an additional $8.8 million you have been able to put on the roads. As we talk about Rebuild, it is always about accountability, how you are being up front with the plan. There is a lot of reporting where the public sees where the money goes.”
The following Elmore County roads are scheduled projects:
Marina Road – Patch, resurface and stripe. Cost is $90,999.
Circle Lane – Patch and resurface. Cost is $82,143.
Gladys Drive – Patch and resurface. Cost is $120,424.
Jordan Beach Road – Resurface and strip. Cost is $52,185.
Tankersley Road – Patch and resurface. Cost is $72,105.
Tankersley Lane – Patch and resurface. Cost is $8,653.
Ray’s Cove/CR-615 – Resurface. Cost is $34,248.
Summit Drive – Patch and resurface. Cost is $95,109.
Summit Circle – Resurface. Cost is $14,330.
Deer Track Road/CR-357 – Patch, resurface and stripe. Cost is $453,460.
Shawnee Drive – Patch, level and strip. Cost is $89,667.
Cherokee Drive – Resurface and stripe. Cost is $12,544.
Cherokee Circle – Resurface and strip. Cost is $4,118.
George Road – Patch, resurface and strip. Cost is $59,538.
Perkins Street – Patch, resurface and stripe. Cost is $24,078.
Tide Drive – Resurface and strip. Cost is $16,158.
James Road – Patch and resurface. Cost is $23,890.
Central Road – Resurface and stripe. Cost is $600,000.
Nobles Road – Guardrail repair/replacement. Cost is $11,500.
Ceaserville Road – Guardrail repair/replacement. Cost is $9,750
Redland Road – Guardrail repair/replacement. Cost is $6,000.
Mt. Zion Road – Guardrail repair/replacement. Cost is $12,000.
Balm Road – Guardrail repair/replacement. Cost is $6,300.
Weoka Road – Guardrail repair/replacement. Cost is $6,000.
Friendship Road – Guardrail repair/replacement. Cost is $9,750.
Rifle Range Road – Guardrail repair/replacement. Cost is $6,000.
