Blake Boren named new athletic director at Prattville High School

Prattville High School proudly announces the appointment of Blake Boren as the new Athletic Director. With a distinguished career spanning 17 years in high school and collegiate athletics, Coach Boren brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the Prattville Lions.
During his career, Coach Boren has held various pivotal roles, including Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Head Golf Coach, Head Bowling Coach, and Head Tennis Coach. His tenure includes notable achievements such as multiple State and Conference Championships, including the 2009 Hoover High School Football State Championship and the 2019 Mountain Brook High School Men’s Golf State Championship.
From 2012 to 2017, Coach Boren served as an Assistant Football Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Recruiting Coordinator at Faulkner University, where he made significant contributions to the team’s success and player development.
Most recently, Coach Boren served as the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Montevallo High School since 2020. Under his leadership, Montevallo High School achieved remarkable milestones, including the addition of new athletic programs in Women’s Wrestling and Flag Football. He also oversaw facility enhancements exceeding a quarter of a million dollars across multiple facilities. As Head Football Coach, Coach Boren guided the team to three seasons with seven or more wins.
Coach Boren’s dedication to athletics is complemented by his personal life. He and his wife, Amanda, who is a PE Teacher at Prattville Primary School, are proud parents to three children: Logan, Brayden, and Conner.
