The Prattville Police Department is investigating a Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument case and is seeking information in the investigation.

Prattville Police Investigators released a photo of two unknown subjects who both made separate purchases, each using a counterfeit $100.00 bill at a local business located in the 700 block of Main Street, Prattville, AL. Change for the counterfeit bills was provided in both transactions. Investigators wish to speak with the pictured subjects to find out additional details regarding how the counterfeit bill was obtained.

Investigators say counterfeit currency cases tend to increase during the summer months, due to more people traveling and exchanging money.
