A Kayak Fun Run will be held Saturday June 8th down the Autauga Creek. The Kayak and Canoe trail will feature the beautiful sites of Autauga County. Through Bamboo, waterfalls and local foliage.
The fun “run” starts at the Creek Walk behind Prattville City Hall and ends on County Road 4 at the Takeout at 1123 Rueben Rd.
The event is BYOE, bring your own equipment. Suggested equipment is obviously a canoe or kayak, life jackets sunglasses, drinking water, sunscreen and anything else you may need. Glass is strictly prohibited on the Autauga Creek.
A bus will be waiting to shuttle back participants at no charge. Once your equipment is dropped off at the Creek Walk behind city hall, take your vehicle to the Canoe Trail Park take out on Reuben Rd. and the shuttle bus will bring participants back to the Creek Walk to start. The last shuttle will leave the creek walk area at 9:45 a.m.
The annual Kayak Trail Fun Run is a great way to beat the summer heat and make fun and lasting local memories right here in Autauga County.
