Short and sweet Autauga County Commission meeting

The Autauga County Commission met briefly Tuesday evening for their first meeting in the month of June. The meeting was less than six minutes long and both commissioner Bill Tatum and Larry Stoudemire were absent. 

 

The County Commission approved the minutes from the May 21st meeting as well as invoices received through June 4. The Commission also approved a consent docket consisting of two training courses regarding a free excel computer skills training class for the county’s rural transportation department. The second being jail management training for the county jail. 

 

The commissioners approved the pay raises for two county employees’ for showcasing satisfactory service and the completion of coursework to elevate their respective work skills. 

 

Hoyt Painter was hired as a solid waste officer to replace Rusty Wood, who resigned. Painter was present for the meeting and stated he is excited to start the new position after June 17th. 

 

The next County Commission meeting will be held June 18th at 5 p.m. at 135 North Court St. in Prattville.
