Cardboard Boat Race is July 4 in Prattville
Looking to add a new tradition to your family 4th of July activities? Register to participate in our annual Cardboard Boat Races at Pratt Pool. The building of the boats begins at approximately 10:30 a.m., (immediately following the parade).
The teams will be creating their competition boats out of cardboard, 2 pool noodles and 2 standard size rolls of duct tape, while onlookers cheer them on.
Trophies will be awarded for the Titanic (most dramatic sink), Most Creative, Best Design and more. Two people on the boat during the race, no more or less.
Pre-registration not required but appreciated. All ages welcome!
When: July 4th (after the parade)
Where: Pratt Pool
Fee: $5 per boat in ADVANCE at Doster Community Center, $8 per boat DAY OF RACE on site.
