LUCY IS THE PET OF THE WEEK
Lucy is a 7-8 year-old female Aussie (Australian Shepherd) mix who has already been spayed. She is an owner turn in because the primary owner she was so devoted to passed away. Lucy has a medium length coat that is mostly black with brown and tan markings with some white, and it is super soft. She weighs 70 pounds; and she does need to lose some weight. Lucy is very timid and shy because she is overwhelmed by the all the sights and sounds at the shelter. She will need a patient owner who will give her time to adjust and decompress in her new home. Lucy is a very sweet dog who just needs time and love to adjust to her new life. She would be great with other dogs and older children once she adjusts to her new home. Lucy is house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. She is very well behaved, calm, and great on a leash. Lucy is going to bond very quickly with her adopter because she craves human attention and kindness. PLEASE consider adopting this beautiful sweetheart of a dog who needs her very own home and person. Lucy will supply love, devotion, and companionship to her new best friend once she understands you are only trying to help her.
Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Your pet will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a spay/neuter certificate which will help with the cost of spay/neuter. Unless otherwise indicated under ‘special needs’ our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
