Thursday evening the sun was setting, bubbles were flying through the air and the tunes provided by the LO-FI Loungers had people dancing at Village Green Park.
The talented five-piece group put on a wonderful show, featuring smooth jazz and blues. Norris Concessions offered up refreshments including Woody’s Italian Ice. It was a warm evening, and the cold treat was a welcome reprieve.
The Kid Zone was busy with a lot of play and laughter.
This is an annual, free event offered by the City of Millbrook, Parks and Recreation and Cultural Arts and Special Events.
The next Tunes on the Green is scheduled for May 31 from 6-8 p.m. at Village Green Park. It will feature a Hawaiian-themed concert with the John Bull Trio, including soulful vocals by Ms. Peggy Walker. Front Porch Grill and Kona Ice of Prattville/Millbrook will provide dinner and cool treats for a nominal fee if you so desire. Otherwise, the event is free and family friendly. Bring you blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a nice evening out.
