FROM THE ELMORE
COUNTY COMMISSION
During the May 13, 2024 Commission Meeting, the Elmore County Commission approved a proclamation recognizing May as Foster Family Awareness Month.
The Commission recognized that youth are the most precious resource, and hope for the future. All children deserve a safe, loving and nurturing place to call home.
The primary goal of foster care is to provide safe, secure and stable homes through the compassion and nurturing of a foster home or kinship family.
(See full resolution below.)
Foster Care Awareness Month is an opportunity to recognize foster families and advocates working to ensure children’s safety, well-being and to spread awareness on behalf of the hundreds of children in foster care.
