Farm fresh and hand picked, Millbrook kicks off first farmers market of the season

The first farmers market of the season kicked off without a hitch and only blue skies in the Village Green Park Tuesday morning. Where many local farms and other local vendors were present to kick off the first farmers market of the season. 

The Farmer’s Market is highly anticipated. We have a really great lineup of vendors from goat’s milk soap and lotions to honey, and we also have farmers and baked goods too. The Farmer’s Market is highly anticipated,” City of Millbrook, Cultural Arts & Special Events Director, Danae Morgan 

Vendors such as Evans and Penton Farms, Made by Molly Sweet Treats and More, The Juice Doll, Tee’s Treats, Chicken & Sweets, Tif’s Piggy Pickles, boiled peanuts, local honey such as the Farmer Veteran Coalition and a nursery and more were all present Tuesday morning for the much awaited start to the season.  

“I think it’s the neatest little Farmer’s Market and it’s such a great space for it throughout the summer. So it’ll run next week through mid -August and it’s really just a fun event for everyone in the community,” Morgan said.  

The Millbrook Farmers Markets will be held from May through August, each Tuesday in the Village Green Park from 7 a.m. to noon in Millbrook.
