Alabama Wildlife Federation needs Wild Game Cook Teams for May 4th event

Lake Martin Chapter Cook-Off May 4

Do you have what it takes to battle it out with some of the best backyard chefs from Tallapoosa County and the surrounding areas? You are invited to show off your wild, culinary skills May 4 at Russell Marine Boating & Outdoors in Alex City. The address is 19 Russell Marine Road.

The event is Saturday, May 4, beginning at 5 p.m. Cook teams may arrive for set up at 10 a.m. Judging of the Cook Teams’ creations begins at 4 p.m. and the event opens to the public at 5 p.m.

In addition to the outstanding cuisine, musical entertainment and raffle, there will be a fantastic silent auction. Delicious wild game, fish and fowl will be available for you to sample. Awards will be presented to first through third place in each division, as well as Best Overall.

The overall winner will be invited to the State Finals held at Lanark in Millbrook on Aug. 10, 2024 to compete for the title of AWF 2024 Wild Game Cook-Off State Champion.
