Civil War Living History & Skirmish
MARBURY – In addition to interpreting the Civil War, we also interpret what life was like for the veterans and widows at the Alabama Confederate Soldiers’ Home. Throughout the Home’s history, the state employed physicians, hospital matrons, and nurses who cared for an aging population. Be sure to visit this demonstration during our Civil War Living History & Skirmish on April 20 to learn how the medical field developed during and after the war. All demonstrations will run from 9:00 am until noon. The Marbury Volunteer Fire Department will be on site selling food, or you can bring a picnic.
