Last Saturday, Coosada Baptist Church held their annual community Easter Egg hunt event. Over 200 families came out to enjoy all of the egg-citing activities that the church had planned. Activities included giveaways, games, crafts, inflatables, egg hunts, face painting, photo ops, cotton candy and delicious ice cream treats. A total of 8,000 eggs were hidden for children of ages birth through sixth grade. A short devotion was read to the children to learn more about Jesus.

“Our church family truly made the event happen. There were so many people who gave eggs, candy, their time to stuff the eggs with candy and surprises. They also volunteered setting up everything, supervised activities and also clean the facility afterwards.  Without our wonderful church family, the event would not have been possible.  We love having the opportunity to meet new people in the community and to tell them about how much Jesus loves them, especially what He did for us on the cross so long ago and how He is living today. Telling about Jesus and having fun make for a great day!” said Nancy Miller.
