Throughout 2024 Builders+Backers is offering FREE workshops throughout Alabama, in person or online at select locations. On March 26th, Central Alabama Community College, CACC, will host a free seminar exploring entrepreneurship opportunities on their campus from 3-6 p.m.

This is part of the 2024 Alabama Buildership Series where any Alabama resident is invited to register and sign up to attend.

Prattville’s Economic Developer Bryant Whaley stated it’s incredibly important to support local, as local money stays within the Prattville community.

“Of every dollar spent at a locally owned business, about 70 cents of every dollar spent locally stays here. Small businesses are the ones sponsoring events, sports teams and they care about their community. They must be given resources to succeed,” Whaley said.

These seminars are offered in partnership with the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA), with support from Innovate Alabama and the Alabama Community College System. These webinars offer practical tools and engaging activities to bring your entrepreneurial ideas to life.

“According to the Small Business Administration, small companies generate 1.5 million jobs a year and account for 64% of new jobs in America. Small businesses also contribute 44% of the U.S. economic activity, so as the number of new businesses grows so do their economic contributions,” Whaley said.
