Central Alabama Community Foundation

MONTGOMERY, AL – The Central Alabama Community Foundation (CACF) and Montgomery City Council have teamed up to host two City Council Contingency Funds Grant Workshops on Monday, March 25 at 2 PM and Thursday, April 11 at 2 PM.

The free workshops are open to any 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the River Region, with participants learning how to apply for grants from contingency funds from City Council members.

Every year, the city councilors have access to more than $41,000 each to spend on local projects. This year, the City of Montgomery and CACF have partnered to help strategically allocate funds to make the most impact in the community. The CACF team will help review all the applications. The City Council members will have sole discretion on the decisions as to which organizations will receive funds and how much the funds will be.

“We are excited to partner with the Montgomery City Council and help non-profit organizations apply for these contingency funds,” shared Burton Crenshaw, CACF President. “This is another opportunity to come together and have a strategic plan to help support organizations that are creating a better River Region for all of us.”
