Jimmie Franklin Holman, 62, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away on March 7, 2024, in Hollywood, Florida. He was born on February 1, 1962, in Wetumpka, Alabama.
Jimmie was a master barber and owner of Creekside Barbershop for many years in historic Downtown Prattville, Alabama. He was well-known for his exceptional skills and dedication to his craft. Prior to barbering, he worked as a mechanic for Gillespie Tires and performed diesel and small machine repairs.
An avid fisherman, Jimmie found joy and relaxation in spending time on the water pursuing his favorite hobby.
Jimmie was a friendly and giving individual with a contagious laugh that was his trademark. He was devoted to his wife, Lori, and cherished his family deeply. He was also known for his ability to fix virtually anything and treated his fellow barbers like family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lori, daughter Oregea Lee Ann (Brent) Nickell of Tupelo, MS, sister Linda Vick (Tim Headley) of Prattville, brother Sydney Holman of Wetumpka, brother Wallace Capps (Bobbie) of Wetumpka. Stepchildren, Daniel O’Sullivan of Prattville , William Hasbrook of Prattville, and Christopher (Natalie) Stanfield of Hoover. Grandchildren Breanna and John and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmie is also remembered by Jenny Chaffin, Jessica Cole and Cindy Woodall, the barbers he worked with day in and day out and his fellow merchants in historic downtown Prattville, Alabama.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Addie Lee [Mann] Holman, siblings Rita Faye Holman, Teresa Inez Morris and Steven Wayne Holman.
A celebration of life service will be held at Cooter’s Pond Park in Prattville, Alabama, on Sunday, 14 April 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
