Vicki Bonner Ward is seeking the office of Elmore County Probate Judge.  The primary election will be held March 5, 2024, to decide the Republican candidate for the November official ballot.

The Office of Probate Judge hears and presides over court actions, processes notary applications and name changes, records and maintains deeds, mortgages and judgements, oversees power of attorney and issues and files marriage licenses.

Ward ‘s qualifications for  the Probate office are many including that she has worked in the Elmore County Court System for the past sixteen years.  Currently she is the Coordinator for the Judicial Volunteer Program as well as providing District Civil and Small Claims mediation.  She has served as past Chairman of the Elmore County Republican Executive Committee for many years as well.

Ward is a Christian conservative, trained paralegal, and civil mediator.   She holds a degree in psychology and is a wife, mother, and grandmother.   She has strong family values, supports law enforcement and believes in a transparent, limited government.

 All residents of Elmore County are encouraged to vote in the primary election.  Your vote matters and who you elect matters.

Why Am I Running? 

In Her Own Words…..

I am running for probate judge in Elmore County so I can help and assist the citizens of Elmore County make their journey through some life changing decisions.  This may be the probate of a loved one’s will or estate or adopting a minor child or an adult.  This office also handles the issuing of marriage certificates, name changes, and mental health commitments.  The Probate Judge also oversees elections.  

I have over sixteen years’ experience as the Coordinator of the Judicial Volunteer Program for Elmore County.  This position assists non-violent first offenders (juveniles, along with three panels) along with their parents in District Court.  I handle mediation for small claims and district civil cases in District Court; having settled hundreds of cases.  Being the past Chair for the Elmore County Republican Party I had the responsibility of testing the voting machines with the Election’s Specialist prior to the election, on call during the day of the election to make sure there were no issues at any precinct; faxed election results to State Republican Headquarters after the returns were entered.  I also met with the Sheriff, Clerk, and Probate Judge on the appropriate date to certify the elections.  

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Auburn University in Montgomery, Paralegal Certificate from Huntingdon College, and mediation training from Jones School of Law.  I feel with my education, life, court experiences, and the desire to help the citizens of Elmore County I am the best candidate for Probate Judge.
