The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce hosted one of their largest ribbon cuttings yet, commemorating the official opening of the Millbrook branch Alabama One, a full service credit union located off of AL-14 in Millbrook.
“We are so excited that Alabama One has chosen to locate here in Millbrook, and refurbish this beautiful building. Before they ever came here to Millbrook, Alabama One was already at our Chamber asking, ‘how can we get involved and what can we do.’ They were one of our sponsors of the women’s conference this past year before they were ever even a part of the Millbrook Community,” President of the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Brenda Dennis said.
The Millbrook branch opened in January of 2024, and Tuesday morning celebrated their official ribbon cutting with numerous Elmore County Commissioners, Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley, State Representative Jerry Starnes, numerous representatives from Alabama One and members of the Millbrook Community.
“We looked at this place probably 18-months-ago, this is an area we really want to be in. We’re tied in with rural electric cooperatives and we just want to be here, not only for them but for the community. We saw the building, purchased it and hired our team out. Our team redid everything and it’s turned into a beautiful facility, and it’s going to be a fully functioning financial institution” CEO of Alabama One Credit Union Bill Wells said.
The Southeast Area Executive, Hal Hodge, introduced the “starting lineup” of the new branch’s employees, where Hodge stated together the team has over 60-years of financial experience that will be servicing the Millbrook branch and the community of Elmore County.
“We’re just excited to be in Millbrook and excited to serve these citizens as well. We’re looking to be fully engaged in the community,” Hodge said.
This new full service branch will feature loan services, mortgage services, wealth services, insurance services, ATM and drive through services and more.
