MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:17 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, has claimed the life of a Brierfield man. Derrick A. Lilly, 48, was fatally injured when the 2022 Can-Am Spyder motorcycle he was operating left the roadway. Lilly was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Chilton County 327 near Alabama 22, approximately one mile east of Maplesville, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
