The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the re-opening ribbon cutting for the community beloved Front Porch Grill restaurant, where numerous elected officials from Elmore County came to show support for Front Porch Grill and the Chamber.

Front Porch Grill has been open in their new location for over three months. With this new location, not only is there more parking but Front Porch Grill is able to accommodate over 150 people whereas their previous location could only accommodate 90 individuals seated, owner of Front Porch Grill Marty Bean confirmed.

“This was a great business decision and a great move. Marty and Jessie are always involved in what Millbrook has going on and always very supportive of those in need. It’s just amazing what they are able to do and really they are an institution in Millbrook, and we appreciate everything you do,” Millbrook Mayor Al Kelly said.

Bean has been in business owning Front Porch Grill for over 20 years and serving country home cooking in Millbrook since 2003.

“Front Porch Grill is an institution, like the mayor said, they provide an opportunity for people to come for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They’re always packed and do so much for the community, and we’re just so proud and love to celebrate them,” President of the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Brenda Dennis said.

Front Porch Grill also made some in house changes in 2023 by merging with Legacy Seafood and BBQ, owned by Jeff Cambell who is now one of the General Manager’s at Front Porch Grill and serving his Legacy Seafood and BBQ out of the establishment as well.

“Jeff has a huge following and great product. Doing this together as a team, we can feed a lot of people. The key to our success is we feed people at a price that they can afford to eat two to three meals if not a week, a day with us. We have people that eat three meals a day with us, the community supports us which allows us to be able to give back,” Bean said.

Bean attributed his success to the people closest around him, to the multiple backbones that keep him and Front Porch Grill running smoothly.

“With them they make it easy and fun, and after 20 years I still enjoy this every day. The restaurant industry is usually a revolving door of employees, but the community knows that our employees don’t go anywhere. We try to treat everybody that works for us as family. We take care of our people, and our turnover is minimal. It’s just blessings, and we give it all to God because he’s been there for us through it all,” Bean said.
