Montgomery – Two Arrested in Missing Person Investigation of Michael Cole Jr.

The Montgomery Police Department was originally requesting public assistance while searching for missing juvenile, Michael Cole Jr., 16.

Cole Jr. was last seen leaving the area of Ridgecrest, in the evening hours on Thursday, January 25, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama.

Investigators say on January 29, 2024, at about 10:50 p.m. in the 6500 block of Selma Highway, Cole Jr. was found. Cole Jr. was pronounced deceased on the scene. Investigators say Cole Jr. died of an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators say Nicholas Treyvon King-Sheppard, 18, and Nedvin Maynard Jones, Jr., 18, both of Montgomery, have been identified as suspects and charged with felony murder. Both subjects are being held without bail at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
