Thursday evening, the second annual One Prattville Community Night was held at the Premiere Place in Prattville. This event was a public safety and community partnership that was FREE for the whole family. Families were able to talk to members of the Prattville Police Department, Prattville Fire Department, local organizations, churches, and businesses for a night of family fun.

The Prattville Police and Fire Department had static displays onsite. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Aviation Unit had their helicopter out as well.  Demonstrations took place during the event and even a drill performance by the Air Force ROTC. Also, many of the local organizations as well as churches passed out food, candy and other treats for families.

The Community Relations Unit of the Prattville Police Department did a wonderful job of organizing and making this entire event very successful.

“The One Prattville Community Night event was a great event,” said Lieutenant T.R. Hope and Sergeant Camille Emmanuel, Community Relations Unit for the Prattville Police Department.

He continued, “We had more participants, a much bigger turnout than last year, and we will continue trying to make it a bigger event in the future. We would like to thank all the officers from Prattville Police Department that came out to do demonstrations. We would also like to thank the Prattville Fire Department, the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office, the ALEA aviation unit, Millbrook Fire Department, Alabama Department of Corrections, Maxwell Air Force Base security forces, Army and Air Force recruiters, Prattville Paramotors, Gatheround Entertainment, Autauga 911, Chick-fil-a, Whataburger, Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1st Missionary Baptist Church, Glynwood Baptist Church, Centerpoint Fellowship, Rhema Word Ministries, Autauga County Schools, Prattville High School ROTC, and so many others that helped make the event a success. We would also like to thank Walmart, Winn-Dixie, and Food Outlet for donating food for the event, and also McClinton and Company for allowing us to have the event at Premiere Place. We appreciate everybody coming out and participating. We will continue to make the event bigger and better in the future.”
