FROM THE ELMORE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
The Elmore County Board of Education central office personnel and the administration at Wetumpka High School have completed an investigation involving assaults that were reported last Wednesday. A total of six students were identified as participating in the assaults on six other students.
All evidence in the case has been subpoenaed by local law enforcement and released to them. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, commonly referred to as FERPA, prevents the Elmore County Board of Education from being able to comment on disciplinary action of students. We take all incident reports seriously and follow through with Elmore County Policies and Discipline Codes
