The Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Great Balls of Fire Golf Tournament on November 1st at Robert Trent Jones golf course.

They are still looking for sponsors and teams. Here’s some information from their website.

Join us for an unforgettable day of golf, networking, and community at the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Great Balls of Fire Golf Tournament!

Hosted by the prestigious Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill, the Legislator Course sets the stage for an extraordinary day of golf. Embracing the fascinating history of Wetumpka, the Great Balls of Fire Golf Tournament pays tribute to the awe-inspiring Meteor Impact Crater that emerged approximately 85 million years ago.

Schedule of Events
Save the date for November 1st, 2023, and get ready for a day filled with camaraderie and community support. The registration will kick off at 9:30 am, providing ample time to check-in, network with fellow participants, and warm up on the greens. At 10:45 am, enjoy a delectable lunch that will fuel your energy for the game ahead. Finally, at 12:00 pm noon, the Shotgun start will signify the beginning of an exhilarating day of golf.

Registration & Teams
The GBOF Golf Tournament is played as a Four Person Scramble. Teams will have the opportunity to showcase their golfing skills, strategic thinking, and teamwork, as they aim for the lowest score and compete for victory.
Each registrant is responsible for putting together their own team of four players. The cost per team is $600, covering greens fees, two carts, range, and lunch for each player.
