CACF Surprises Local Montgomery Nonprofit with $5,000 Grant

FROM BURTON CRENSHAW

CENTRAL ALABAMA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION PRESIDENT

MONTGOMERY, AL – The Central Alabama Community Foundation (CACF) awarded a $5,000 grant to Quiet Storm Outreach Group through CACF’s Give Smart Montgomery Initiative on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

Quiet Storm Outreach Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the River Region dedicated to serving disadvantaged communities in the River Region by providing life necessities to individuals experiencing homelessness.

The Give Smart Montgomery grant will provide supplies to further Quiet Storm Outreach Group’s capacity to connect those who are homeless and panhandling in Montgomery to services and shelter that will place them on a path to self-sufficiency.

“We had the joy of surprising Quiet Storm Outreach Group’s Founder and CEO, Alvin Rowell, with the $5,000 grant while he was out serving the community, “shared CACF President Burton Crenshaw. “It was also wonderful to have Councilman Glenn Pruitt on hand to congratulate Mr. Rowell and thank him and the volunteers for their efforts. We’re so grateful for organizations like Quiet Storm Outreach Group who are making an impact in our community.”
