Kristian Mullins, of Coosada, was arrested in November of last year for allegations of sexual assault involving a 15-year-old female on campus. Those charges have now been dropped after evidence was presented to an Elmore County Grand Jury last week.

District Attorney CJ Robinson said in a release today, “Millbrook Police Department presented their investigation to the Elmore County Grand Jury. The grand jury heard testimony from the investigating officer and from the listed victim. After hearing evidence, the grand jury then returned a no bill (which means probably cause did not exist for charges to proceed and an indictment was not issued.) We respect the grand jury’s decision.

In November, school officials discovered two students, who appeared to have been engaged in inappropriate activity, while in a secluded area on campus. Both students were separated and interviewed by school officials, who reported their concerns/findings to law enforcement.

Mullins, a then18-year-old Coosada resident, was detained and transported to the Millbrook Police Department for questioning. After completion of the preliminary investigation, Mullins was placed under arrest, being charged with Sodomy 2nd Degree.

Mullins is now free of those charges after the grand jury’s decision and considered innocent.
