The Humane Society of Elmore County (HSEC) had a thrilling inaugural Paddle to Paws event at 17 Springs Saturday, with perfect weather to boot.

Around $3,000 was raised for the shelter, according to Director Rea Cord. It comes at a good time, too.

There is currently a big need for dry dog food, canned cat food and canned dog food are the highest on needs list.

Over 60 teams competed Saturday. The winners in each division are in the graphics below. We thank HSEC for providing the photos, and hope this becomes a regular event.

In case you are unaware, the Pickle Ball courts at 17 Springs have become amazingly popular as the sport is sweeping across the nation. There is a page on Facebook dedicated to Millbrook Pickleball!

If you are able, donations are desperately needed, as well as adoptions and fostering animals!
