Darrue Sharpe received the Achievement Award from the National Association of County Agriculture Agents during the 2023 Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference in Des Moines, Iowa.
Sharpe was one of several honorees with less than 10 years of service and selected by their peers, who represent the top one percent of the membership. She has been employed with Alabama Cooperative Extension System since 2016, serving as County Extension Coordinator in Autauga County.
Her passion is serving her beloved community and promoting lifelong learning opportunities through Extension’s many programs and youth events. She is known in her county as a major collaborator, forming vital partnerships with county leadership and organizations within the community to promote Extension’s mission of extending knowledge and improving lives.
