The Dalraida church of Christ and Faulkner University “Legacy Camp” will be packing “Buckets of Blessings” on Saturday, July 22 from 9:00-11:00 AM, that will go to help the suffering in Ukraine.
The “Buckets of Blessings” program has been a phenomenal success in Dalraida’s Ukraine relief efforts and many in the River Region have joined us in donating items and money for these efforts. We receive daily communication from Ukraine requesting more buckets. Faulkner University’s “Legacy Camp” is open to students in grades 6-12. It is taking place on the campus of Faulkner University this week. This camp aims to combine campus living with spiritual engagement and learning what it means to leave a legacy that points toward Jesus Christ’s blessings in life.
One of the activities of the camp has been a service project that concludes the week. A group has volunteered to help stuff Buckets of Blessing. They are partnering with Dalraida Church of Christ and its efforts to help Ukraine. Their goal is to pack 100 buckets!

WHERE: Dalraida Church of Christ International Relief Warehouse, 1550 Jackson Ferry Road, 36104, Bldg B, Montgomery, Alabama
WHAT: A packing party stuffing 5-gallon buckets with critical items for those displaced, injured, and traumatized by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The impact of these “Buckets of Blessings” is seen in the effects and impact after they are distributed in Ukraine. Photos and narratives describe just how critical the items in these buckets are to those who are struggling against evil. Here are just a few comments:
- We saw the tears of strong men who had lost everything, the despair of women and the frightened eyes of small children.
- We saw the smile of parents watching gifts of their daughter’s doll or son’s car rejoice.
- We saw the smile of a grandmother who is happy that she will now have her OWN cup, because there are only 3 of them in a hostel for 20 people.
- We saw the smile of a woman who is used to being a housewife, but at the moment she didn’t even have forks, so she got them.
- We saw the smile of a teenage girl who took out a letter from an American boy from a bucket and is already rushing home to write a reply.
