The City of Prattville 4th of July Fireworks show will be held once again at the Home Place clock tower at Legends Drive. In support of fire and personal safety for the event, no vehicle parking or persons loitering will be allowed in the red area marked in the attached image on July 4th starting at 9 a.m. until after the fireworks show.
This includes all applicable shoulders and median of HWY 82 East, the Legends Dr./Legends Pkwy. roundabout, and the hill surrounding the Home Place clock tower. THIS ALSO EXTENDS (SHOULDERS AND MEDIAN) ON HWY 82 FROM COBBS FORD ROAD ALL THE WAY TO MCQUEEN SMITH RD!!! (SEE SECOND MAP)
Through traffic will be allowed on HWY 82 East and Legends Drive unless unsafe conditions require them to be shut down. The sidewalk around this area on Legends Drive will be open for people to watch the show, except for inside the roundabout. There will be ample parking in the lots in the immediate area for a good view of the show. Officers will be patrolling to enforce this temporary restriction and will also be in the major intersections in the area after the show to direct traffic to get everyone home as quickly and safely as possible.
