This family is truly one of a kind. Starting with the dad, Charles Cochran, Captain of the Montgomery Police Force who puts his life on the line daily to keep citizens in our city safe. The mom, Kristi Cochran, is an amazing woman who loves her kiddos more than life itself. She is also the caretaker of their youngest son, Austin, who has had countless surgeries since birth.
Then there is the big sister, Kaylee, who attends Stanhope Elmore High School and is the kindest soul you will meet. Finally, there is Austin, he is a rising 5th grader who can bring a smile to anyone’s face.
I’ve known this family for about two years and during this time Austin has had 4 spinal surgeries. To him, it’s just another surgery, and though he goes through agonizing pain, he does it with a smile on his face. He is an inspiration to many who cross paths with him because no matter the obstacle he’s always looking on the bright side. This entire family is a blessing to those who meet them!
