‘Reading with Raptors’ Coming to Millbrook Public Library Tuesday

The Raptor Ridge Wildlife Education FREE event will be held at the Millbrook Public Library on Tuesday, June 20th at 10:00 a.m. The program is called “Reading with Raptors.” Valerie Castanza; Owner of Raptor Ridge Wildlife Education will read a few books to the children that will be generally geared for early readers. The goal for this program is to develop a love of reading as well as an appreciation for our native wildlife. The program will have a few live birds on hand for all in attendance.

Some Educational Ambassador birds you might see on display at the event may include Sassy the great horned owl, Grizzly a red-tailed hawk, D’Artagnan a screech owl, and Acuity a barred owl.

The Raptor Ridge Wildlife Education is an interactive outreach program focusing on the vital role of raptors. This program is relatively new and has been established for about a year in a half now.

If your unable to attend the Millbrook Public Library for the “Reading with Raptors” event at 10:00 a.m., the Eclectic Public Library will have the same program at 2:00 p.m on June 20th at the Eclectic Warehouse.
