The Prattville Police Department is investigating a felony retail theft and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
Prattville Police Investigators released a photo of an unknown suspect wanted for a felony theft investigation. Investigators say the offense occurred, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Walmart, 1903 Cobbs Ford Road, Prattville, AL.
Investigators say the pictured suspect entered the business, loaded a comforter set, (2) large electric scooters, and (3) small electric scooters into his shopping cart. After walking around the store, the suspect goes into the garden center area, exiting the store through the fire exit, where an unknown individual in a black Honda Accord (unknown tag number) was waiting on him. The suspect loaded the merchandise into the vehicle and left the scene without purchasing or attempting to purchase the items. The total of the merchandise stolen from the business was valued at $1,444.00.
The male suspect, described as a black male, was captured on video surveillance cameras wearing an orangish-colored floppy hat, Auburn-themed shoes or flip-flops, jeans, and wearing a white t-shirt. There are no other details available for release at this time.
The suspect is wanted for theft of property 3rd degree, which is a Class D felony.
