The Millbrook Police Department is investigating a Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument/Theft by Deception 2nd Degree case and seeks the public’s help in locating the suspect.

Millbrook Police Investigators released a photo of a female wanted for cashing a fraudulent check, on March 21, 2023, at a financial institution located in the 3100 Block of AL Highway 14, Millbrook, AL. Investigators say the female cashed a fraudulent check and received cash. The suspect immediately left the business in an unknown direction of travel. The teller determined the check was fraudulent a short time after the original transaction occurred. There is no other information available currently.

The suspect, described as a black female, was viewed on security cameras wearing a black coat and a white shirt. Investigators say they believe the suspect is Tekyra Williams. Williams is believed to be from Chicago, Illinois.

Investigators seek to identify and locate the suspect and ask anyone with information to anonymously come forward by contacting Central Alabama CrimeStoppers.
